Ah, this week has been hell as busy (and somewhat boring), which is why I haven't blogged since last saturday.
So on Monday I did my HSC English (ESL) Paper 2: Modules (yeah, full title =x) exam along with my listening. It was quite fun to write, though I would have wished my brain could think a little faster, as well as for my fingers to write faster. I'm still confident I'll get a good mark, however.
I had Tuesday and Wednesday free (to study) until Thursday, when I did my General Maths exam. This is the easiest Maths course you can do in Australia (the govt.'s thinking of abolishing it, heh), though no less challenging than normal Maths or Advance. The exam was structured into 22 multiple choice questions, with 6 extra mini-sections, composed of about 3-5 questions each. The multiple choice and Qs 23, 24 and 25 proved to be easy, but still hard enough to make me think. By the time I arrived to questions 26, things got far trickier. The questions weren't as easy, and I had to read each word carefully to know exactly what they were asking. Not only that, but with my weariness from doing the other questions, doing the final 3 sections proved to be far more challenging that I expected. Soon I got tired and, after writing down what I could in all the questions, left the exam room. I will pass, maybe even get a good mark (60s-70s out of 100) which I say it's a good result with the amount of study I did. I was so tired afterwards I went to rest at the school library with some friends before heading home and study for my next exam.
On Friday I did my Legals Study HSC exam. Unlike for my Trials two months ago, I was better prepared. And the exam gave me questions I was sort of prepared to as well. Section I and II i'm sure I did extremely well (Section I only took me 10 minutes, when, giving each section equal amount of time in relation to the marks, it's 45minutes). Section III, with two extended-response question, tunred out to be... boring. Yes, boring. I kept yawning and daydreaming every 10 minutes. I still managed to write what I could summon from my memories. I won't get 20/25 for those, but I will get a passing grade for those two questions.
Two not-so-easy exams, on two days straight didn't do me well. My arm was sore by the time i finished Legals, and by 10pm yesterday my mind was as heavy as an elephant. I feel better now, but I still feel weary nonetheless. At least, I got 3 days before my next, and possibly hardest exam I'll ever do in the HSC, if not my life.
Oh, but my dream last night was quite...nice. It revealed how much I yarn for someone to be happy with. The girl whom I "went out" with in my dream is a friend from my english class, with whom for the past two years been competing and trying to outbest in our exams, and writing in general. I'm sad to say that she has turned to be a better writer than me, as she has practiced much more than I ever did and so, she deserves to be ranked first in both english classes. It may be because I respect her so much that she was in my dream (though in real life I wouldn't think of ever asking her out ... for now anyway). In the dream I was also dragged onto the ''basketball'' team that seemed more like a mercenary group of sorts, and I wore something similar to Allen Walker's 3rd Exorcist Uniform in the manga (D.Gray-man), only blue isntead of red. I also found myself playing match of soccer against another school. Where have you seen a basketball team play a soccer match? Anyway, it was a good dream (except for the scenes set in my house) and I wouldn't mind going back some day (or rather, some night).

Interesting Friday
So many things happened on Friday (yesterday) that I dare say it was the most exciting day of my life (and soon you shall realize my life is rather dull because of it).
First of all, I did my HSC English Paper 1 exam (hour and a half) and it was actually pretty easy compared to other exams, both ours and years past. Section one question were the easiest actually, only dealing with journey-type stuff as well with what the text was about, and there weren't any language technique-type questions at all, which made it even easier (and that's what i fail at the most).
Section two was still challenging, asking us how effective were the prescribed and related texts in conveying the development of new understanding of the world around us one may gain while on a journey. Some friends used only three texts (writing almost two pages for each) while others used a bigger number of texts though they wrote less as well (after all, we can only write so much in a mere 50 minutes). As for me, I used 7 texts (I did told my friends I used 8, but that was because I confused myself). I used the poems "A drive in a country" and "Postcard" by Peter Skrzynecki, and "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost; the novels "Only The Heart" written by Brian Caswell and David Phu An Chiem, as well as "Eldest" by Christopher Piolini; the song "Message in a Bottle" by The Police (which for some reason i remembered the lyrics so well despite the fact I only read them 2-3 times) and the film "Eight Below" directed by Frank Marshall (whose name I did not remembered so I didn't bothered writing anything on that matter). Of course I didn't wrote more than a page for each text (though Only the Hear, Eldest and SKrzynecki's poems came close) but I believe I didn't bragged much about them, only saying what needed to be said.
I surprised myself by how confident I sounded on my writing, stating that "these texts do conveyed the idea of blah blah blah effectively". Normally I wouldn't do that because I wouldn't be sure if I could really support my argument (though I didn't know either when I wrote this) so I was, as I sad, surprised at myself. I'm not sure if I supported my statement well or whether if I supported it at all, but I believe I did, so that's something.
Moving on, after the exams we all went to our teacher to see what she thought of it, and to hear any consolences that would make us feel better in our chances of getting a good mark. After that, Jess* and I started walking together towards the exit as we talked about the exam we just did and the ones next week. Haruhi* joined us and then left us as soon as she joined us as she lived somewhere else. I was surprised that Jess kept wlaking with talking as we talked, as she would normally go with her friends (who were nearby). But the fact I felt absolutely NOTHING about her as she was next to me is what surprised me the most (and still giving trouble in finding peace). After talking with two friends I agreed to the fact that it may be that Jess just happens to be my type of girl personified that I feel attracted to her, and not because of who she really is. Which bugs me to no end...
At least I got her to deal her phone number in my mobile (she did it twice as the first time I closed the phone without saving it properly) and will be calling her tomorrow to see if she has foresee the exam questions on monday (she did for her previous exam).
After all of us went our separate ways, I realized that, due to the nervousness and excitement of the exam, I left my house keys INSIDE my house. Not knowing the time my parents would get home, I went to the Library. After a while (three hours) I went back home and still no one there. So I decided to do something I never thought I'd do in my life: to break the law (or rather, just break in into my own house). I won't go into details but after a 1.8m fall where I landed on my right leg and much thinking and headache (due to the heat) I managed to get inside to a well deserved glass of water and my beloved computer. Though I ended up realizing I did too much walking and, I being out of practice having stayed at home for two entire weeks, left me with sore legs for quite a while.

Between cats and booklets...
Stupid cat . . .
Last night my cat Melanie (female) came back from her usual outing outside the house. After she had her food (biscuits and dry fish) she showed signs of 'going to bed', which involves looking at you and then towards the bedrooms. So I took it to my room and soon enough she was sleeping on my bed, though the place she chose would not bother me when I'd decide to go to sleep.
But then ... my mother and step-father came back from their trip to Europe (they missed my bday \o/) and Melanie woke up. Then after spending two hours eating more food and going out, she came back and ... lay down on my PILLOW. And slept there until I myself decided to sleep and then (after spending efforts in finding another pillow around the house) she gets up and chose another spot in my room (my bag). Sometimes I think she's doing it on purpose...
Now I'm trying to study for my HSC Exam of English, Paper 1 that I'll be doing tomorrow, though I'm not having much success, (why do we have to do exams? couldn't they just give us free marks?) though at least I'm getting something done. Planning on doing theory now and after lunch I will start doing as many past papers I'm able to. If i finish all of them or get bored, I'll probably do another session of revision on the theory of Journeys.
For now, some pics...
Not long after she got on my pillow...
This I took after i moved the pillow to the other side of the bed...and she's still sleeping. You can see the other pillow to the left.
